Step-by-Step: Underwater Fun
If you have been snorkeling or scuba diving, you know that the underwater world is a beautiful place! However, oftentimes, the pictures that you take with a disposable underwater camera can be disappointing. The colors are not as you remembered, and everything is usually much darker than they appeared in the water because of the lack of lighting. Some tips to get beautiful pictures in the deep blue sea: - Aim your underwater camera toward the surface to get more light. Swim below your subject and point the camera upwards.
- If you are with a group (ie. on a cruise or tour) they may provide a professional photographer to take pictures of group members while they are scuba diving or snorkeling. You can later purchase those pictures. They will cost a lot of money, but it will be well worth it to have the professionally-taken one or two shots as a souvenir of a memorable trip.
Supplies: Instructions: - My cousin gave me this awesome picture from her trip and asked me to make a layout with it. I stuck with the blue, green, and yellow hues of the picture on my layout so I wouldn't distract from the photo. I cut one piece of my patterned paper to 8.5" x 11" and the other 2" x 8.5". I tore a small piece from my 2" strip to make a more rugged edge. I cut a piece of cardstock slightly bigger than my photo so it could serve as a mat. (I didn't want my picture to blend in with the patterned paper.)
- Adhere the 2" strip slightly below the center of the 8.5" x 11" piece of paper. Then place the photo with the mat about ¾" above the bottom of the 2" strip.
- Slide the Writers Block under the 2" strip and adhere in the appropriate place.
- Add your title using chipboard letters and Metalgrams.
- Use a Heidi Swapp Bling Circle to draw attention to what you want to feature in the photograph.
- Use the Making Memories rub-ons to add to your title.
- Write date and details about the photograph on a strip of Heidi Swapp Decorative Tape.
