Step-by-Step: Star
My grandson, Evan, at six months is at the "grabby" stage. Everything within reach goes into his mouth for a taste. Evan and I challenge you to grab one of your favorite photos that has an element that you can enlarge for a focal point on your page. With a few helpful tips, you can "taste" and see how this can create a fun and unique page. Supplies: Instructions: - Cut a 4" x 12" piece of orange paper. Cut this piece into a 4" x 8 ½" size and attach it to a piece of printer paper and print your journaling. [I used 2peas Varsity font.] Save the 3 ½" piece.
- Adhere the 4" x 8 ½" orange journaling piece to the bottom left of a 12" x 12" piece of red paper. Adhere the 3 ½" piece to the bottom right.
- Cut a 1" x 12" piece of circle patterned paper and adhere it to the top edge of the orange paper.
- Cut a ½" x 12" piece of striped patterned paper and adhere it 1" from the top.
- Adhere a 5" x 7" photo over the circle patterned paper on the left side of the page and adhere a 3 ½" x 4" photo on the right side.
- Using a star template cut a gold star to size. Using a circle template, cut a turquoise circle to size. Free hand cut a
"stem" for your shapes using the turquoise paper. Adhere to page. - Punch orange letters for part of title. [I used QK Sunshine font.]
- Stamp the number "6" in the left hand corner using black ink.
- Use the Doodlebug stickers inside the star. (Cut around the negative image if you've already used that particular sticker.)
- Stamp the date in lower right corner.
