Step-by-Step: Baby Schwarz

by Kristi Mangan (Mar 20, 2007)

I absolutely love taking pictures of my friends' children and then creating layouts or projects that I can give back to them. The Bazzill Chip Toppers "Baby Boy" collection is what inspired me to create this layout of my friend's son. I loved the calming colors that were masculine, yet still gentle enough for a baby. Even though this was not a kit, it was easy to pull together the perfect papers and coordinating embellishments by Bazzill to create this layout.

Supplies:

Directions:

  1. Trim light blue cardstock to 8.5" x 11". Trim brown cardstock to 1.5" x 11".
  2. Punch 7 circles out of remaining scraps of blue cardstock. Adhere circles onto brown strip of cardstock.

  3. Mount a photo onto brown cardstock and trim (leaving a ¼ inch border). Adhere the mounted photo to patterned paper and tear one edge. Ink all edges of the double-mounted photo.

  4. Ink the edges of the Chip Topper and adhere to a chipboard square.
  5. Punch 2 brown circles and attach Polka Dot Brads.
  6. Add Magic Mesh to the bottom of the page (about a ¼ inch up). Adhere brown strip with circles on top of the Magic Mesh. Add letter stickers for the title.
  7. Adhere the Chip Topper, the photo, and the brads. Use a brown pen to add a dotted border and the name/date.
