Has it ever happened to you? You have the urge to scrapbook a page with the pictures you've printed and all the new papers you just bought, and suddenly you experience scrapbooker's block (or as some of us say, lost your mojo) and can't seem to figure out what to do. Here are a few simple tips on how to get your creativity flowing: 1. Visit the Scrapjazz gallery for inspiration. Here you'll find hundreds of layouts, cards, and projects. 2. Instead of starting a layout, try to start on a smaller project such as a card. 3. Find inspiration in sketches. That is always a great way to start a new layout. 4. Instead of scrapbooking the same size page you always do, try to scrap a different size. For example, if you normally do 12"x12", make an 8 ½"x11" layout. 5. Try a new technique. 6. Scraplift your favorite artists. 7. Organize your scrapbook stuff. 8. Join a challenge. Here on Scrapjazz there are monthly challenges. 9. Buy a new product. 10. Invite a friend over and scrapbook together. 11. Pre-plan your layout. Put together a kit with your papers and matching embellishments.
Try these tips and you'll see how fast your mojo will be on the mend. Remember, scrapbooking should always be fun and not mentally exhausting! |
