November 2008 Sketch Challenge

Use this simple sketch and dress it up or down to make your own page. I asked several Scrapjazz artists to design a layout based on the sketch and the results were truly amazing!
Marielle LeBlanc (marilou64) created a colorful layout of her son having fun. She overlapped the photos and added a border around the page. Marielle also used tiny eyelets along the border which draws the focus into the page. The embellished stars add a fun touch to the page along with the title design.
The layout by Amy Chomas is a great replica of the sketch. The paper choices complement the photos of her adorable son Jack. Amy combined buttons and stars and layered a single button on one star in each cluster. The die-cut title design finishes up the page.
I love the white space on Delaina Burn's (sewscrapsleep) layout! The vibrant patterned papers and ribbon combine to make this layout sassy enough for the fun photos.
Jennifer French (shihtzu452) chose to use a single photo on her layout and added a journaling block on the bottom border. The colorful patterned square pieces and rickrack really pop on the black background cardstock. Add a perfectly beautiful photo like this and you've got the perfect layout!
KarryWeaver used the sketch to design a bath-time layout. She used scalloped borders and added circles to look like bubbles to embellish the layout. The title design is fun, whimsical and perfect for the layout.
On the layout "Happy," I used rickrack and a scalloped photo corner with brads for embellishments and then stamped the title and added a grungeboard "h" to complete the layout. With just a little modification, you can add twice as many photos if desired.
Unleash your creativity when you use this sketch to design a layout.
