Hot Color Combo

by Andrea Steed (Jul 26, 2004)

You've may have noticed that fashion trends often help to inspire our scrapbooking trends. Just like patterns and color combinations of choice change for our clothing every season, so do the patterns and colors for scrapbooking. We've gone through plaids and circles, and currently seem to be enjoying stripes, paisley prints and polka dots.

In addition to the pattern inspiration, we also often have fashion-inspired color schemes finding their way into our scrapbook pages. This year is no different. Walking through the mall a few weeks ago I noticed a color combination I hadn't seen in a while: Pink and Brown. It was everywhere, and although it seemed like an odd choice to me at first, it quickly grew on me (as most trends do). It's no surprise that this hot color combination has also been used in scrapbook products and layouts.

Pink and brown offers a softer version of the pink and black color combination that has been a tried and true favorite for a feminine page. The warm silky feel of the chocolate brown and fresh pink somehow draws you into the page. I give this new color combo a thumbs-up and can't wait to see more products using them!

Here are 10 great layout examples found in the Scrapjazz.com layout gallery using a pink and brown color scheme:
