Windowed File Folder Mini Book
Create a fabulous mini book with Office Werks products from Creek Bank Creations. Each mini book uses one package of windowed file folders, one package of bookplates, twill for the binding, and various accent pieces.
We recommend all the bookplate pieces be assembled first, inking the edges and accenting as desired.
Open the file folders, punch out the tags, and lay the file folders out so that you have a tab on the left, a tab in the middle, and a tab on the right. Sometimes the colors will change, but you are working with where tabs are placed, NOT color.
The file with the tab on the left is your front piece. Insert the file with the tab in the middle into the file, the solid side up, and adhere the window to the solid section. Do not adhere the windowed part of the file with the tab in the middle to the BACK section.
The file with the tab on the right is your center piece, set it in the middle. Use a standard size hole punch to punch holes in the middle of the book. Bind the book with ½” twill. (Just run it through the holes and tie it off.)
Page 1 - Place a piece of cardstock 3 ¾” x 4 ¾” behind the window, and adhere. Accent as shown.
Page 2 - This view shows the insert placed in the book on page one, and a simple bookplate accent.
Page 3 - Place an insert here that measures 4 ¾’x 5 ¼”.
This insert just has a fold and flap to tear and accent.
Page 4 - Plaid pocket piece measures 3 ¾”x 3 ½”. Make slits in the top edge and roll down. Adhere around the edges to make a pocket for the tags. We took the bookplates, punched large holes in them and turned them into tags.
Windowed file folders are available in eight monochromatic Bazzill colors, and 10 other beautiful Bazzill colors!
