Product Review: Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
One of my favorite new products to hit the market in several years is Tim Holtz's new Tiny Attacher stapler. It features all the functionality of a traditional stapler, but in a fun and compact size - and it uses the tiniest, cutest staples I've ever seen.
Included in the package are 100 tiny staples, though you may also wish to buy a refill pack. At just $2.99 for 1,550 staples, you'll never run out. What's unique about the Tiny Attacher is that the staples used are much smaller than traditional staples, and even smaller than mini staples. As you can see from this photo, the Tiny Attacher staples are roughly half the size of the standard. This makes the Tiny Attacher perfect for cards with smaller-scale designs. In addition, the staples hold ribbon and paper strips perfectly. With traditional staples, often the staple is wider than ribbon or other small items you might wish to use on your pages, causing the items to slip out of the staple. With the Tiny Attacher, you'll never need to worry about that again.

To make this fun and festive birthday card, I simply grabbed a bunch of paper strips from my box of scraps. I cut them to size, and then stapled them all to a white card base using the Tiny Attacher. Then I just added a metallic "Happy Birthday" sticker to finish off the look. I love the result, and the card was quick and easy to make.
I loved making this card, too. I first used the Tiny Attacher to secure the felt butterfly ribbon to the card. Since the staples are so small, they don't overwhelm the design. In fact, they actually enhance the design. I used three in the right corner to create a unique look - and to ensure that the ribbon remained on the card. I also used it to attach two die-cut butterflies together. Not only was it the perfect size for my custom embellishment, but it also created the body of the butterfly in between the wings. I was really happy with the finished product.
Though I love using my Tiny Attacher for making cards, it's great for scrapbook pages, too. I used it throughout this page design, starting with an accent on the left side of my die-cut felt hearts. I then mimicked that design at the middle right of the page, using it to attach my die-cut paper. As I did with my photo card, I once again used several of the staples in a row. The result is perfect! Despite the fact that I've only had my Tiny Attacher for about a month, I've already found that it's become one of my most-loved and often-used tools. I reach for it again and again, project after project. It coordinates with all looks and styles from cutesy and fun to classic and masculine. Best of all, I have yet to have a single functional problem with the stapler. It rarely jams and gives you a crisp, even attachment, each and every time. I'm not one to purchase a lot of new tools, but I am so glad I chose to invest in this one. Pick up one today, and I promise you won't be disappointed!
