For a long time embellishments kept getting thicker and thicker to satisfy our need for dimension and texture on our pages. Now, luckily for us, manufacturers are realizing that the weight and “lumpiness” factor keeps us from adding as many of the heavy embellishments to our pages, so they are creating look-alike embellishments that are flatter, lighter, and easier to use. Sarah Heidt Photo Craft has helped in that effort by offering thin lightweight mosaic tiles and embellishments to adorn your pages.

Featherweight Mosaic Tiles
The Featherweight Mosaic Tiles offered by Sarah Heidt are simply beautiful. Made of thin plastic, they are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors including several fun faux-finish, multi-colored and pattern-design tiles.

These tiles are wonderful to create borders, embellishment squares, and tag accents. The shimmery color finish and patterned options on many of the tiles gives them an added layer of interest that catches your eye. Her newest additions to the line are six bright plaid patterns. Shapes such as circles, squares, triangles and hexagons open the doors to unlimited possibilities.

Embellishments
A step ahead of the mosaic tiles, these embellishments come in a variety of shapes and colors, such as realistic-looking flower buds, seashells, snowflakes and leaves. These embellishments are small enough to place in shaker boxes or to use as accents on pages much as you would use buttons. Many of the embellishments are also sold as charms with gold-filled jump rings already attached.

These accents are approximately 1 millimeter in thickness (the same thickness as a penny). They are made of acid-free plastic and all ink used is pigment ink.

Ribbon Sliders
Ribbon embellishments are a fun new trend that add an extra dimension to ribbon borders. Ribbon Sliders are a lightweight and stylish way to add that final embellishing touch. These themed tiles have pre-cut slits that are perfect for stringing ribbon, fiber or paper strips through and come in several styles and themes. Round and oval ribbon slides are available in every tile color and pattern.

Tag Tiles
Another specialty embellishment are the tag-shaped tiles. Coordinating with the mosaic tiles, these tags are another great size and shape for adding a little bit of color and fun to your pages. Pre-drilled holes allow you to easily attach them with brads or hang them with string or wire. Personalize them with rub-on letters, stickers or ink. Also an option are tag tile words in several phrases and themes.

Word and Letter Tiles
For a different twist on the mosaic tiles, also available are word and letter tiles. Choose from a variety of themed words, some with a full word per tile, or give each letter its own space! Both styles are perfect for subtitles and titles alike. Full alphabets are also available in several colors, with typewriter font letters.

Laser Cut Images
These larger laser-cut images are the artistry of Pam Heidt printed on cardstock. Cut with precision, they make perfect accents to your pages with a more mature and serene style. Choose from beach scene images to Asian items to Red Hat embellishments.

Script Die Cut Words
If you love the look of fancy script titles, cut from cardstock, but cringe at the thought of using a craft knife and painstakingly cutting each letter, these script die-cut words are the answer!

In addition to the popular Scriptina font, several intricate and detailed fonts are available including an antique handscript as shown in the “Joy” die cut below. Fonts are chosen to match the mood of the words, making them an effective and fitting title for your pages.

Each sheet is uniquely designed to support the theme. Sarah has carefully chosen font styles, colors, graphics and phrases that help you create gorgeous pages in no time at all. A completed page can be as simple as adding a transparency over a photo and cardstock.
