Every Nook and Cranny
Space…it’s a commodity! I never fully understood that until I outgrew the corner of my dining room as my supplies stockpiled. To say I’m a “collector” would be an understatement! Fortunately, our children are grown and have flown the coop. So, eyeballing the smaller bedroom (9’ x 12’), I made my move. That was four years ago and I've now outgrown this space. Shelving is a real challenge due to old plaster walls, so the only option left open to me was to “build up” utilizing Iris Carts, a small bookcase, two five-foot tables (one for scrapping, one for stamping) and stackable shelves. There isn’t a nook or cranny left and the only open space is in the middle of my room! It may not look pretty but it is practical and works well for me.

Paper and Sticker Storage
My 12” x 12” cardstock is housed in a Display Dynamics Paper Station with 30 trays that sits right next to my scrap table. Six clear stackable plastic trays with my most used colors sits right on my table for easy access. I also use my Crop-In-Style P3 Paper Tote for extra storage. My patterned paper and alphabet stickers are stored in the Cropper Hopper’s vertical paper holders (love these!!).
Stamp storage
In a word … unmounted! Not only can they be easy on the pocketbook, storing them is a dream! I use the EZ Mount System and keep them on the Stamp n' Stor™ storage boards that fit right into 3-ring binders. My acrylic unmounted stamps are in boxes right next to my foam stamps and basket of acrylic paints. My inks, embossing powders & wood-mount stamps fit nicely into my tabletop Iris carts. I love that I can stamp on one table, leave the mess for later and go to a clean work space to finish a layout!

Ribbon/Fiber Storage
I love all the yummy colors and wide variety of ribbons that are available today so much that I wish I could buy them all!! My solution is to buy only a few yards at a time. I get a great stash this way and to *see* what I have, I wrap my ribbons onto 3”x5” cardboard pieces that file nicely into a large basket that I keep right next to me on my bookshelf. My fibers are wrapped around embroidery floss cards and stored by color in embroidery storage containers.
Embellishments
Talk about addiction! I have these all over my scraproom in baskets, drawers, plastic containers, my pockets … the list goes on! I do like to keep my most loved embellishments right on my work table within arm’s length.
Punches
Once they numbered 700+, now it’s about 300 and still I can’t let them go!
Photos/Negatives
Cropper Hopper photo cases store all my photos not yet in albums, whereas the small photo boxes house my photos that I plan to scrap now. My negatives are either still in their photo sleeves in the developer’s box or stored and labeled in negative protectors sleeves in an airtight binder.
Is this my ideal scrap room? No. But that dream would require my winning the lottery, buying a new home and having Trading Spaces Vern Yip as my personal designer!!
