Double Functioning Space
I love my scrapbook room! My space is directly connected to our living room. These days, this room serves not only as my scrapbook space, but also as storage and an office for my photography business.
Desk
The main centerpiece of the space is the three-piece solid oak desk. From my chair, I am able to easily reach almost all of my supplies. The drawers on the right hold all my scraps in hanging files sorted by color. On the top of the desk, I have pretty glass jars from Linens and Things that store my ribbons, miscellaneous embellishments, metal letters, and buttons.

Supplies
The photo storage boxes above the desk hold all of my fibers, threads, brads, adhesives, eyelets, paints, and miscellaneous embellishments. I keep all of my metal and charms in the plastic storage totes on top of the desk. These pull out and I can easily pack one or two of these away in my XXL for crops if I need them. I found the button rack that hangs on the wall at a liquidation sale for $2. I’m a very visual person, and seeing the supplies up on the wall is what prompts me to actually use them! A large 12”x12” hanging folder portable storage system sits on my bookcase and holds all my stickers sorted by theme. Stamps, punches, ink, larger tools and all other supplies have found homes in the three iris carts that sit in the corner of the room. The drawers are all labeled to make finding things easy.

Photos and Albums
I find it easiest to store my post-bound albums in chronological order in my bookcase. I found round tags to be the easiest way to title my albums. There is also a shelf that holds all of the pages awaiting homes in their prospective albums (which right now includes ALL of 2004).
My photos are stored in photo boxes also in chronological order. Since I have switched to digital, I’m not printing out nearly as many photos anymore.
Cardstock and Paper
Another great find was the paper racks that I use for my 12” x 12” patterned paper. These are sorted by manufacturer and color. Cardstock is sorted by color and stored in slotted shelves.
Decor
I chose to paint the walls a soft green color and accented it with a pretty purple hydrangea border. The camera is a family heirloom and fits perfectly with the theme of the room.
And lastly the closet holds all my photography business stuff. Since the closet did not have doors I chose to hang a sheer curtain to hide the clutter.
There you have it--a full tour of my beloved scrapbook space.
