Review: Memory Dock Snapping Scrappers Box

Finding boxes large enough to store 12" x 12" paper and memorabilia can be hard. Finding something sturdy and convenient to use can be troublesome as well. That's where the Snapping Scrappers Box from Memory Dock comes in handy.

The Snapping Scrappers Box measures 12.5" x 12.5". It fits 12" x 12" scrapbook paper well and even allows some extra room to get your fingers in and pick out the paper. It even fits scrapbook papers that have the extra half inch on the edge for the manufacturer's information. At 1.4 lbs, the box is lightweight as well.

The box, made of sturdy fiberboard, holds together well. The lid corners and edges are reinforced with metal to provide a sturdy lid and prevent damage to the box. The boxes can be stacked without losing their shape. To test the strength of the box, I placed 16 pounds of weight on top of the box. The box took the weight without any problems.

To access the contents, remove the lid. Items can be easily removed and the lid replaced back on the top of the box. If you do stack them, you will need to remove the boxes on top to get to the box you want. Since the boxes are not heavy, I didn't find that to be a hard task. A metal-reinforced front label holder can be used to label the contents of the box.

The box folds for convenient storage when not in use and can be put together simply by snapping the sides together. The snaps work easily. In a test I was able to put the box together in less than 30 seconds. While the box does fold down the lid does not. The lid is 1 inch high so it will need that extra space when being stored.

The box holds all kinds of scrapbook items. Paper is the obvious choice because of its size, but it will also hold memorabilia and embellishments. The storage options for the box are numerous. The box could hold papers by a certain manufacturer or all embellishments of a certain type. I have used my box for storing all items (paper, chipboard, rub-ons, ribbon, memorabilia, etc.) related to a certain holiday. The box can hold items to a depth of 6 inches.
