10 Questions with Heather Stanworth, Founder of Super T’s Stamps

Super T's stamps debuted in September 2007. The style of stamps range from the crisp look of a TrueType font to the whimsical doodles of its designer. Although they will not be releasing any new stamps at Winter CHA, they just released some new stamps this January. I couldn't wait to interview owner Heather Stanworth to find out more! With a successful online scrapbook store, what made you decide to venture out and design stamps?

1. 
   I have always been interested in designing products and I love stamps. Being on the retail end of things for so long I wanted to try something a bit different.
   
   
2. Who are your designers?
   
   Kim Moreno, Kristi Hellyer, Tracy Whitney, Amy Teets, Jolie Thomas and myself
   
   
3. Favorite stamp or release to date?
   
   Oh man, don't ask me to pick a favorite. I love everything we have released.
   
   
4. How'd you come up with the name Super T's?
   
   Hee hee, I was actually shopping. I knew I wanted a really fun versatile name and I had a basic concept for the business in mind. It just kind of popped in my head. That's my favorite part, the concept behind the business. This is the info on our "about us" page. It really sums it up. Super T's LLC was created from a very basic reality. Women are Superheroes.
   
   
5. Women are Superheroes?
   
   Women wear so many different "suits" everyday. Mom, Wife, Career Woman, Taxi Service, Maid, Cook, the list goes on and on. Our responsibilities all put together are the equivalent of "save the world." Even if it's only the world of our children, husbands, family, or close friends. We keep it all together and try to find the balance in everyday life.
   
   Based on this reality we have created Super T's LLC to celebrate the Superhero in all of us. For many creativity is all we have that is "ours." Our hobbies give us an outlet to express ourselves and who we really are outside of our families and work. Our creativity is individual to each of us.
   
   
6. Do you have a motto?
   
   Super T's LLC is committed to providing quality products and ideas that are economical and fun to use, products that will inspire the Superhero in all of us. Products designed for Superheroes, by Superheroes.
   
   We also recognize that not all Superheroes are women. Many of us have wonderful men in our lives that help carry the load as well. And without them, well, we wouldn't be all that we are.
   
   
7. LOVE the superhero mascot, where'd you find her?
   
   Through a very long agonizing search online. :)
   
   
8. What or who produces your favorite ink for stamping?
   
   I have to admit that the Nick Bantock and Tim Holtz inks from Ranger are my favorites. I have tons of inks but these seem to be the ones I use most often.
   
   
9. How often do you stamp?
   
   Not often enough. I wish I had more time to stamp, but with Super T's it has made it more of a priority and I love working with our stamp sets. The ideas are endless.
   
   
10. What do you love about your stamps?
    
    My favorite thing about the Super T's stamps is that there is something for everyone. No matter what your style is, you will find something in our selection that you will love.
