Picture It! Pageframes

by Andrea Steed (Sep 30, 2002)

A few months ago I made a heritage layout with pictures of my husband’s grandmother when she was in her early twenties for his grandfather who was in the hospital. Since they don’t have scrapbooks, I really wanted to frame it so that they could enjoy it everyday. I searched all over for a frame that would hold a 12” x 12” scrapbook page and couldn’t find one that didn’t cost a fortune or have to be custom made (which also costs a fortune!). Shortly after that I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, TX and came across a booth that really interested me! Frames made especially for scrapbook pages!

8 1/2 x 11 frameThe "Picture It" Pageframe is the first frame designed specifically to hold and protect scrapbook layouts for display purposes. Pageframes are made of an ultra-lightweight, shatter resistant, acid free PETG plastic material. With a few accessories such as ribbon, raffia or fancy cording, these frames mount easily to any wall, window or metal surface (i.e., fridge or filing cabinet). As well, the frames convert to free standing with the use of an easel.

"Picture It" Pageframes are available in the following sizes: 8 ˝” x 11”, 12” x 12”, 17” x 11” 12 x 12 frame(holds a two-page 8 ˝” x 11” layout), and 24” x 12” (holds a two page 12” x 12” layout.

After seeing these very affordable and attractive frames, I knew that if I wanted to give scrapbook pages to friends and family as gifts, they didn’t have to be for an album. They could be to hang on the wall and display! In fact, the family that we stayed with in Texas for the Arlington convention received a thank you layout of their family in a Pageframe!

I now also have these frames hanging in my scrapbook room to display my most recent or favorite scrapbook pages. Instead of putting my pages right into a book that not everyone will see, 24 x 12 frameI like to put them on the wall and enjoy them for a few days…or until the next layout is completed! Because of the spacious design of the Pageframes, it’s easy to take one layout out and slide the new one in, without even taking the frame off of the wall, and even bulky embellishments fit inside the frame nicely.

I was simply thrilled when I found this product, and enjoy using them to share scrapbook pages with others as gifts and to display layouts in my home.

*Additional Tip: Attention scrapbook store owners and independent consultants! These frames are also a great way to display sample layouts all over your store or class area! Need to be portable? A photo easel is easy to transport and will make a fantastic display while you’re teaching or demonstrating!
