3D with Diorama Cards
by Jane Swanson
(Mar 28, 2008)
A diorama is generally known as a three-dimensional landscaped mini-world, complete with figures and assembled in a container such as a box. A diorama card is similar in that it is three-dimensional and can also be modeled around a theme. The difference is that a diorama card can be put together in such a way that it can fold flat to fit in an envelope.

Visit splitcoaststampers.com for additional information about creating diorama cards using punches and to see detailed photos demonstrating how to attach the three layers together. For mailing, I folded one edge toward the middle. The other edge adjusts to lay flat. There are many themes to choose from in creating your own diorama cards. If your stash of patterned cardstock doesn't fit your theme, you can create with stamps and punches to make a card as unique as your recipient. The beauty of your card is that it will stand in all its three-dimensional glory as a tiny model of your sentiment.
