Featured Scrapbook Blog: Creative Imaginations

With an increasing number of scrapbooking manufacturers and an increasing number of blogs, there are so many places to turn to for information and inspiration, that it can be overwhelming. Therefore, when I find a good one, I feel compelled to share. I have recently discovered the Creative Imaginations Blog and I find myself checking back on a regular basis.

Creative Imaginations started as a gift product manufacturer in 1986 and extended into the scrapbook industry in 1997. They now have over 20 licensed brands and artists targeted at all types of scrapbookers. With so many different products and collections, I find the blog helpful to see the possibilities in them and figure out which ones will be right for me.

Contests

Every scrapper loves contests and the Creative Imaginations Blog has plenty of them. In the months I have been following the blog, there have been two sketch contests every month: one layout and one card. There are also occasional giveaways and blog hops that only require you to leave a comment in order to enter.

Inspiration

Creative Imaginations has a wonderful design team which create projects using the many different collections. There are days that feature fun collections like Star Wars and other days that feature more feminine collections like Loolah. There is a regular column called “Monday Inspiration!” which features projects from other designers.

Tutorials

Creative Imaginations has an assortment of products, some of which are new and different. One example of this is their recently-announced Luminarte paints. Before taking a chance on buying them, I enjoyed reading about them on the blog and seeing a few tutorials on projects that can be made with them.
