Allyson Bright
Currently a preschool teacher living in Iowa City, Iowa, Allyson Bright has been crafting with paper for as long as she can remember. "I created my first scrapbook at the age of sixteen using a magnetic album and colored computer paper. I discovered acid-free scrapbooking a few years later and have been addicted ever since!" Originally from Wheaton, Illinois, Allyson graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in English. She loves to scrap because it helps her celebrate where she's been, as well as where she's headed. "I love that someday when my own children ask me what my young life was like, I won't just be able to tell them, I'll be able to show them." Allyson's work has appeared multiple times in national magazines, including Memory Makers and PaperKuts. She was a Scrapjazz layout contest winner in December of 2004. Scrapbook Memories, a nationally-syndicated PBS television show, featured one of her layouts this past fall. Most recently, she had four pieces published in Ideaz from the Top, an idea book published by Top Line Creations, one of the newest and fastest-growing companies in the business. Allyson also works as a direct sales consultant for both Top Line Creations and The Angel Company. In addition to scrapbooking, Allyson also enjoys other forms of crafting, including collage, painting, altered book art, and sewing. When she's not busy creating something, Allyson loves to read and write, and also enjoys the performing arts, particularly music and dance.
