Nora Noll
Username: Nora Noll Location: Glastonbury, CT My name is Nora Noll and I live in Glastonbury, Connecticut. I am the proud mother of a beautiful daughter, Charlotte (5), who is the main subject of many of my layouts. I am blessed to be able to stay home and take care of her full time with the full support of my husband Chris, whom I have been married to for 9 years. The first scrapbook I made was the year I graduated from college and acid free products were not readily available. I had spent the summer in Cape Cod working in a restaurant and I used things like cut out letters from magazines to document the people and places that I met along the way. I put it aside for other craft pursuits, like decorative painting and rubber-stamping, but picked it up again when my daughter was one year old. This is about the time that I was questioning my own past and realized that with my Mother's death in 1992, most of my childhood history was gone too. I didn't want that to happen to my daughter so I started scrapping the day-to-day moments in my daughter's life. I am not a professional photographer and most of the photos I scrap are ordinary, candid shots of my daughter and our life. I also pride myself in documenting the moments behind the photo and journaling has become a very important part of my scrapbooking. When I look at photographs of the past, I want to know what was going on that day at the park, or how someone felt when they got their first new car. My husband would call me nosey but I say I am curious. Oprah always says that everyone has a story and I am the one that loves to hear it, whether it is face to face or through the written word! When I am not scrapbooking, I work out, I volunteer at my daughter's school, I make cards or my nose is in a book. I also have an addiction to shopping and scrap stores, virtual or brick and mortar, are my obsession. I am thrilled beyond belief to be a member of the Scrapjazz Blue Crew. I have been a member of Scrapjazz since January of 2003 and this site has inspired me more then any magazine ever could. I am honored to be among this wonderful, talented group of people.
