Ali Lipton (retired)
Username: Hoya94 Location: Woodbridge, VA Originally from New Jersey, I graduated from Georgetown University in 1994, and decided to stay in the Washington DC area. I live in the suburbs in Northern Virginia with my husband and two children- Jake (age 5) and Caroline (age 2). Formerly a consultant for the hospitality industry, I turned stay-at-home mom after the birth of my son Jake in 1999. I was introduced to scrapbooking at a home party in 2000, and as the years passed, my interest grew into passion. My daughter’s arrival in 2002 doubled my scrapbooking materials by providing me opportunity to buy all those girly papers I’d been eyeing for two years. I watched my supply stash grow from a Rubbermaid bin that stowed nicely underneath a desk to an entire room in our basement. Caroline’s “dynamic” personality also gives me many additional photo ops. Scrapbooking has given me a creative outlet I never had before and I’ve developed artistic interests and skills I never knew I possessed! My experience includes teaching classes at our local scrapbook store, and I have been published in Ivy Cottage Creations - now known as Scrapbook Trends.
