Removing Red Eyes - Adobe Photoshop

by Denis Germain (Apr 18, 2003)

Red eye occurs when light from an on-camera flash reflects off the back of the eye. To avoid this try using alternate sources of light and whenever possible take your photos in a room that is not too dark.

Here's an easy way to remove red eyes from your photos images:

1. Open image in photoshop - and create a new layer.

2. On the new layer, cover the red with a black paintbrush or soft edge pencil.

3. Change the layer mode to color.
