Terms and Conditions of Use of Scrapjazz.com
By visiting this web site and participating in its services, you warrant
that you will not post, private message, or e-mail through our site any
material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive,
vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening,
invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law.
Scrapjazz.com Message Boards
Although the administrators and moderators of the jazzclub will attempt
to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for
them to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author,
and neither the owners of the jazzclub or Jelsoft Enterprises Limited
(developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of
any message.
The owners of Scrapjazz.com have the right to remove, edit, move or close
any thread for any reason. Any user who feels that a posted message is
objectionable is encouraged to contact us by clicking on the "Report
this post to a moderator" link located on the right hand side of
each post. The Administrators have the ability to remove objectionable
messages and will make every effort to do so within a reasonable time
frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. Since this is a manual
process, the Administrators may not be able to remove or edit particular
messages immediately.
Users may delete their own posts at any time by removing an individual
post or they may request that their posts are deleted by the Administrator.
Links to other web sites are allowed. However, blatant personal ads (to
be determined by the Administrators of this board) are not permitted in
the jazzclub except for in the "Classifieds" forum. Posts made
in the classifieds section also fall under the guidelines posted here,
in addition to requiring posters to have at least 30 previous posts in
the forum. Advertisements for businesses may be purchased on our site
by contacting the Administrators through the business
section of our web site.
Chain letters, pyramid schemes, SPAM, and solicitations are inappropriate
on this BB.
Other guidelines for posting in the jazzclub:
- No profanity; this includes words intentionally made to look like
profanity with other characters. The jazzclub software will automatically
filter obscene words with "*".
- Rudeness, verbal abuse/attacks (including name calling), and flaming
will not be tolerated. Posts and the users who make them may be removed.
- The process of cross-posting is discouraged. Cross-posting is posting
the same message in several boards on our site.
Copyrighted material may not be reproduced or used unless you are the
bearer of the copyrights in which you grant Scrapjazz nonexclusive, royalty-free
rights for use on our site.
Gallery
Terms and conditions regarding posts made in the gallery include, but
are not limited to, the guidelines presented for use of the jazzclub.
In addition to those guidelines, the following rules apply:
The gallery exists for sharing scrapbook related images (i.e. layouts,
paper-piecings, patterns, etc.). It may not be used as a personal file
archive except for use in conjunction with the gallery (meaning you may
not upload personal images to be housed on our server unless the images
are being used in the gallery).
All images are and may be viewed by the public on the Scrapjazz web site
as well as the sites of some of our affiliates. No profane, pornographic,
or otherwise deemed inappropriate material may be posted. Images or content
uploaded for use other than that of the Scrapjazz gallery can and will
be deleted.
Due to the use and abuse of child pornography on the web, and the many
laws concerning child pornography on the web, any layouts containing nudity
that we deem inappropriate will be removed. Layouts may be uploaded again
if the objectionable material has been altered, covered, blurred, or edited
in any way in order to protect you, the subject, and our web site.
Personal Information
If you post, upload, or submit content and/or material (including but
not limited to posts, layouts, and comments) via our web site, you grant
Infinite Publishing, LLC and its affiliates a nonexclusive, royalty-free,
perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce,
and display such content in any media.
As a courtesy to our users, we grant you the right to delete your posts,
layouts, and other material you have uploaded at anytime. This is provided
in the event that you become published and must remove your material or
need to remove your material for any other reason.
As with all Internet web sites, certain public information is collected
through a variety of methods (cookies, server logs, online forms, etc).
We do not sell, rent, lease or in any other way distribute your private
information which is gathered in the jazzclub and/or gallery to third
parties. Your personal information (such as e-mail addresses, username,
etc) are used in-house by the Administrators in order to contact you in
the event of personal communication, contests, announcements, newsletters,
and other communication needed to interact with the users of our web site.
This information is not used for any other reason. Understand that some
of the information you provide in your profile (such as location, birth
date, etc.) is visible to the public in your profile. All information
that is visible is not required for membership.
Advertisements sent to you via our in-house advertisement system and/or
newsletters are approved by Scrapjazz and are to be expected while visiting
our site. Advertisers are not granted access to your personal information.
Violations of the rules contained herein can result in legal action.
The Administrators also reserve the right to reveal a users identity (or
whatever information we know about the user) in the event of a complaint
or legal action arising from any material posted by the user. This release
would be granted pending an official, legally binding request.

Scrapjazz offers the syndication of content through various tools on
our site. These tools are provided with no warranty of use, and are to
be used at one's own risk. These forms of syndication are offered at no
cost to the individual, therefore no support is provided by Scrapjazz.
Use of these tools and content can be revoked at any time by Scrapjazz.
Abuse of these tools and/or content passed through them can result in
legal action.
