I got my digital Rebel EOS XT for Christmas 2006. I am so happy with this camera!! I drug my feet in getting a digital SLR, I loved my original Rebel EOS so much I couldn't imagine not using it. Also my first stab at digital was a point and Shoot camera and the shutter speed was terrible, I couldn't use it like a normal camera. I had to point, click, then not move until the camera was done. I couldn't use it like a normal camera. The shutter speed on my Rebel XT is great and it works just like my film SLR probably a touch faster. Plus it is a bonus not to have to stop to unload and load film.
My Husband bought it off the internet, he got a better deal by buying the lenses and the camera body separate. The body is a Canon but the lenses are Sigma.
