Description: Versatility of 2 trimmers in 1! The rotary trimmer for precise cutting features 3 interchangeable blades; straight cut perforated and deckle edge. The locking guide holds work in place for a clean and perfect cut. The guillotine trims posterboard laminated work and up to 10 sheets of paper at one time. The table fits 12x12 papers and the paper alignment grid provides standard paper and photo sizes. The most unique aspect of the cutter is that the rotary portion can unsnap from the guillotine so that larger sheets may be cut or one section can be easy packed for travel.

Pros: Includes 3 interchangable blades, lots of grides for easy measurements, cuts smoothly, cuts straight, and just fun to use!
Cons: Kind of large, but the pros definately outweigh this con!

The interchangable blades are TO DIE FOR! The first blade is for regular trimming, the second makes perforated marks for easy tearing (this is SO COOL--I could see this blade being used for a rip-apart RSVP invitation! Awesome!), and the third gives the cut a rippled effect (think DecoScissors, but much cuter and convenient!). The guillotine cuts through thick paper (such as chipboard), and seems very durable. Another favorite feature of this product is all the measurments laid out for you, just a few including 8.5x11, 8x8, 6x6, etc. Also, the trimmer can come apart in two pieces, if your scrapbooking space is limited. This product also seems very safe for use around children, as the interchangeble blades, as well as both trimmers, have safety locks. I would recommend anyone to buy this 2-in-1 trimmer if you are looking to buy a higher-end, durable, and chic trimmer for your scrapbooking memories.

Pros: Love the two shaped blades for the rotary cutter! I also liked the ease of the guillotine when cutting through mutiple sheets of cardstock.
Cons: having to order the replacement rotary blades online.

Since I have not liked any new cutters that I have tried, I was pleasantly surprised with this cutting system. In fact, I might even throw out my old tried and true one and use this cutter now! There are several aspects that impressed me about the Purple Cows Two and one Combo Trimmer. First, I LOVED how easy the different rotary blades were to switch on and off. You just turn the plastic to pop the whole thing out and pop another one in. No screws to contend with to loosen up on you when you least expect them too! And the fact that it came with three blades-two shaped and one regular-that was a bonus! The second thing I liked was the large guillotine blade. I have had very little experience with this type of cutting system but I think I am now a huge fan. I used mine to make a set of cards and I think the best part was being able to cut through a stack of 8 sheets of 8 1/2 by 11 paper with such ease! With my old rotary blade, I couldn't put that many sheets in and when I did put more then one, I had to go over it several times for it completely cut through. The guillotine of the Purple Cows cutter sliced through the paper like butter! Though I didn't use it this way, I also liked the fact that you can detach the rotary blade for portability. It is small and compact and could easily be packed up for a crop. The last aspect of this trimmer that I impressed me was that the bed of the guillotine area of the trimmer contained clearly marked measurements. Specific markings for 12 by 12, 8 1/2 by 11, 6 by 6 to card sizes are blocked off which makes pre-measurment of paper a thing of the past. I think that this will help speed up my scrapping and cardmaking for sure! All in all I really liked the Purple Cows Trimmer and would reccommend it as a sound purchase. I think the only down side I see to it is the lack of ease for finding replacement blades for the rotary trimmer. I have not seen this trimmer in my local scrap store and would have to order blades online. However, that isn't that big of an obstacle for me since I love to shop!

Pros: Lightweight and easy to change blades.
Cons:

This trimmer is so lightweight and transforms so easily to transport to and from crops. The guillotine blade will cut numerous sheets of paper and cardstock at one swipe of the blade which makes it a definite plus for cards and invitations. The rotary side of the trimmer has super easy to change blades and I love that they store right in the trimmer itself because if I had to store them in a different spot I'd lose them for sure! One of the interchangeable blades has a perferated edge which opens up a whole new door in invitations, you can now include an RSVP card right on the invite itself! You could also make raffle tickets for fundraisers and such. There's a hidden slide out ruler on the rotary side of the trimmer - very clever and useful. I highly recommend this very useful and handy 2-in-1 trimmer, it's a keeper!!

Pros: straight cuts, interchangeabe blades, pre-marked measurements
Cons: a little large (but only b/c I am accustomed to a smaller trimmer)

I have tried several trimmers over the years and have never found one that I was completely satisfied with. I think I have finally found one though! The Purple Cow 2-in-1 combo trimmer is a winner! I love the guillotine blade. I've always stayed away from these types of blades b/c I was sure I'd slice the tip of my finger off, but this one has a plastic safety shield to prevent that. And the best part is that it cuts perfectly straight every time! The rotary cutter is great, too. It comes with 3 blades that are amazingly simple to change. You just twist and pull out the old one and twist and pop in the new one. It takes seconds! The first blade is a simple cutting blade, the second is a decorative edge blade and the third is a blade for creating perforated lines. The third is a blade I haven't seen in other trimmers and I think it is a fabulous idea! The two trimmers slide together to create one larger one. It is a little large but is very lightweight and would be easy to transport to crops and such. Another great feature of this trimmer is the pre-marked measurements. It makes trimming to specific sizes so simple. If you are in the market for a trimmer, I highly recommend this one. It is very functional, seems durable and is super cute as well!
