I've had other cutting tools that may have cut more accurately, but this is just so compact and convenient, that it's the one I always use.

will only cut straight for so long...
|
|
It was my first trimmer and it worked fine for a few weeks until it stops cutting straight no matter what you do.
I guess the ruler that holds the blade gets loose with use and it's as good as trash after that.
Get something else instead, spend a little more, it's totally worth it when you realize this is the one tool you'll use more than anything for any paper craft.

Crooked cuts

I couldn't cut straight with this trimmer to save my life. The blade wobbles in the track, and the plastic guide tends to bend out. Both of these problems create frustratingly crooked cuts.

I love this paper trimmer. I use it for all my pics and paper. I highly recommend it. Haven't had to change the blade yet!

This is probably my favorite scrapbook tool. I use it for everything... scrapbooking or not. It was inexpensive and blades are too. Plus, the blades have so far (when I need them - not too often) been easy to find. I haven't had many problems with crooked cutting as long as I take the time to line up the item I want cut properly. It is lightweight and portable, but I was concerned that I might break the plastic cutting guide, so I sewed a little cloth pocket holder so that I can't accidentally store it open. Maybe that is why I haven't had problems with it even though I've had it for years. ?

makes a disaster of your paper

At first I though it was something I was doing but found that no matter how hard you try to line your paper up to cut a straight edge it always starts out uneven or ends up that way. Can not get a straight even edge with this.
