Description: Big dies. Big technology. Big-time compatibility. That's the Big Shot. It works 100% with your current Sizzix product library, and is 40% lighter and 20% wider than the original Sizzix Machine. Now that's a big deal, even for a Big Shot.

Pros: It is so easy to use and takes cards.
Cons: Not found any yet!

I received one of these fab machines for Christmas 2005 and it is just fantastic. Really delighted that it also accepts sizzix dies but also can take cards through too. It is very portable and I can see my children enjoying using it too for making their own cards and projects. Can't wait to see the actual specific dies for the Big Shot but hopefully they will be priced at sensible prices. One of the best purchases a card maker could choose, I think!

Pros: Can use other thin die cuts, not just Sizzix
Cons: Cutting pads are more expensive then sizzix

I love my Big Shot! I got this for Christmas 05 from my husband and was so excited to hear that you can use other thin die cuts from other die cutting systems. I have tried QuikKuts so far. You just need to by the Sidekick converter which is under $5.00. The die cuts are 30% cheaper than Sizzix. I haven't found many stores yet that carried the die cuts (but you can use Sizzix die cuts in here too.) Love this machine! It is a lot easier to roll the die cuts through then it is to press them in the big Sizzix Machine (which I did have but sold when I got the Big Shot). The MSRP on this machine is $119.00 but it comes with an embosser (Friends), Flower Thin Cut, Dragon Fly Thin Cut, 4 Tag Thick Cut, 5 pieces of paper, 2 cutting pads.

Pros:
Cons: acrylic plates crack. size of die cut very small

One acryllic plate cracked 3rd time through and second one within a week. Disappointed with the size of the die cut such a big die cuts. Especially the window cards ones. Cards are gift tag size.

Pros: Love the machine. Cuts easily and very light.
Cons:

This new product is awesome. Love the lightness of the cutter. Nice to cut up to 6 letters at one time. Customers like to use the new machine. Very user friendly.

Pros: Cuts well, larger cutting surface
Cons: Cutting pads break easily

I love the way this machine works: The crank handle feeds the dies through the machine, so pressure is applied evenly to the die for flawless cutting. I never have partially-cut letters and shapes like I sometimes do with my Sizzix. Also, several thin dies may be fed through at once, which is a real timesaver when cutting letters. The one drawback is that the clear plastic cutting pads break very easily, even when used properly. However, when I e-mailed Ellison Design customer service about this, they did send me replacement pads at no charge.

Pros: Uses all dies; Cuts multiple dies at one time.
Cons: Not portable

Love this machine the best because it is an all in one. Yes, there was a problem with the pads breaking at first, but Ellison had the same problem with the Sidekick when it first came out. Highly recommend.

I just got this product and it is wonderful. So much easier than the sizzix. I am selling my sizzix. Big Shot accepts the sizzix dies. Highly recommend! My sister loves it also.
