Pros: Easy to use
Cons: pricey accessories

After purchasing hundreds of craft punches, a sizzix machine, an accu cut machine, a quickutz, and a tag along.... it was a breath of fresh air to purchase this and play around with it. It is SO easy to use, easy on the hands etc., and the projects that come out are fantastic! I realize that the cartridges are expensive, but realistically if you added up the price of each individual die cutter that has to go into other products, it is actually cheaper for the cartridges! I think the main downfall of this product is the cutting mats. They dont last long at all, and are quite expensive to replace. If you don't have the sticky residue on the mats any more, then the paper rises off the mat and your whole project is ruined! It's wise, if you invest in this, you should ALWAYS have a spare mat or 3 on hand so you don't have to run to the store for a replacement in the middle of a project! - That is ... IF there is a store near you that carries them at all! Have fun and Happy crafting Smile

Pros: Great technology
Cons: Used 4 times and machine quit working!

I bought my cricut yesterday, I was so excited to get one as the technology is awesome and saves soooo much time... When I got my cricut home and out of the box I started using it, I used it four times to be exact before it stopped working. The mechanisms that load the paper were jammed and the machine began making horrible noises. I took it back to the store I bought it from to exchange it. The woman who helped me tested the second one and it couldn't read the cartridge and the blade would not move at all. I think I'll wait until the second generation cricut comes out. I am so disappointed...

Pros: Portable, Very Easy to Use, Very versatile, Fast Clean Cuts, Can change the Size, Good bang For your Buck
Cons: Only 14 Cartridges available now! But 6 more coming in NOV 2006.

I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! This is by far the best deal around as far as cutting systems go. For starters you plug it in and its ready to go. No Computer needed. The Cartriges come with 95ish different shapes, fonts, words, numbers, etc. EACH. They are small, very light, and each cartridge comes with its own 6 special features. Great for Scrapbookers, Cardmakers, Paper Crafters, Teachers...... The blade and the cutting mat has to be replaced after a while but they are $5.00 to replace. Then there's the versatility. You can cut the images from 1 inch to 5 1/2 inches. You can change basic heart shapes to charms, to ribbon sliders, or give them shadows for depth. What more can you ask for? There is even a USB Port in back to download fonts from the computer in the future. Good to have but I'm PC savvy anyway so I don't need that. The Cricut is easier to use than both the Pazzle and the WishBlade, The Cricut is lighter and more versatile than the Sizzix (which I still have and will never sell), The Cricut cuts is by far the best scrapbook invest I've made in a long time. It has sparked my creativity and taken my pages to new heights. I honestly use my Cricut almost everyday and definately Every Time I Scrap.

Pros: ease of use
Cons: fonts no smaller than one inch

I just purchased this product last week with 6 cartridges and it is the easiest thing to use. Doesn't waste paper as it will cut one design after another and will warn you if your design will not fit. I had the wishblade for about 4 days and was not pleased with it. Biggest complaint with that unit was the waste of paper. The Cricut cartridges are expensive...but with creative use of just one there are ove 6000 different possibilities from just one cartridge by using the extra keys . I love it!

Pros: easy to use; makes cute stuff
Cons: sticky mats don't stay sticky long enough

I love my cricut! I have so much fun with it making cards, scrapbook pages, and little tiny notes to surprise people with. I'm a cheapskate, so I reuse my sticky mats by reapplying repositional adhesive and using them again and again. Old adhesive can be cleaned off the mats with rubbing alcohol. I'm not sure what the manufacturer would say about this practice, so I suppose I do it at my own risk. I have also run the mats through my Xyron with repositionable adhesive, and that works great! The cartridges are so much fun, and when you compare how many images you can cut with each cartridge (usually over 5,000 combinations) it seems a bargain compared to individual dies. And it's easy!
