Pros:
cuts diagonally or straight.
Cons:
no storage, like with their smaller trimmer.

Love that Creative Memories finally jumped on the bandwagon with a 12-inch trimmer. Also will not need to buy "short cuts" from Creative Memories now as I can make my own by cutting on the diagonal. Love the blade (same as on their custom cutting system(very sharp). Don't like that their is no storage in unit , or a cutting mat top like on their smaller "personal trimmer".

Pros:

straight cut, measurement marks on the cutting bed

I like the fact that this cutter is portable, makes nice straight cuts and has angle marks on the cutting bed that allow you to cut 3 different angles. I had a Fiskars 12" cutter, but because I frequently changed the blades from a cutting blade to a scoring blade, eventually the runners became permanently bent and so I would not get a straight cut with it. The CM cutter is made in such a way, that won't happen. I thoroughly recommend this tool!

This trimmer is excellent. I replaced my Fiskars with it and I am SO happy! The angle markings are great for consistent triangles, the 1/4 inch grid is great, and I think CM's blades are the best. Terrific product!

Love it!!! It's the best 12-inch trimmer out there! The price is acceptable, and the life time warranty doesn't hurt either.

I love my 12-inch straight trimmer. I had a fiskars trimmer because CM didn't make one when I started scrapbooking. I made sure my husband got me this for X-mas last year.

I like the ease of use.

It does not cut true 12x12 sheets

I really loved this cutter when I first purchased it a few years ago. I stopped using anything else. I have found like with the other plastic channeled cutters, after time it does wear causing the cuts not to be perfectly straight. I also noted that the true 12x12 papers do not fit perfectly, a little always sits over the lip also causing the cuts not be perfectly straight. Overall it is a good cutter just not the best for me.

Blades dull VERY quickly! Do not buy!

I have been using this cutter for 2 years now - I am so aggrivated with it totally. I go through the blades like crazy, they don't last like the fiskars cutter. Also, you have got to be careful the way you store it, b/c it will warp & start cutting VERY uneven. I thought CM was really getting up-to-date when this came out, but I am so surprised that they would sell something so cheaply made.
