The Wizard is a must have for any Scrapbooker. I LOVE mine. Not only does it use the Spellbinders dies, it can also cut Sizzix, Quickutz, smash bottle caps, emboss metal charms, emboss Fiskar's emboss plates and a whole bunch more. I just embossed in leather with little work at all. This machine is the one to buy. An investment well made. I highly suggest the Wizard.

The Wizard is so much fun! It is light weight but durable. No flimsy plastic here, and no more cutesy and cheesy dies. Spellbinder's dies both cut and emboss, and the Wizard can cut other company's dies as well. The new die and alphabets are unique sizes and styles, sure to fit everyone's taste. Add some magic to your crafts and invest in the one machine that can do it all.

I am looking forward to getting my wizard within the next few weeks! I have seen it demostrated and have played with it several times - My thoughts are it is the best deal around for the quality of the product! Sturdy yet light weight - and so many possibilities . . . .

I've had a Wizard for 1 and 1/2 years. I absolutely love the versatility! I can use all other dies out there and so much more! I can emboss brass stencils, flatten bottle caps, flower pound, set eyelets, cut chipboard, I've gotten rid of other tools because the Wizard has taken their place in my studio. Once you've done a few passes and have gotten the hang of it, the possibilities are endless! My kids even use it!

Versatility!

Small, but worthwhile, learning curve
|

I have been using the Wizard diecutting machine for more than a year now. I have never had this much fun with a craft tool before! I especially love the embossing feature of this machine which allows me to emboss virtually any stencil (not just brass ones!), and texturize paper. I am finding myself perusing craft and hardware stores for things I can run through the Wizard to add texture to my paper; plastic canvas, rain gutter guard, hot glue scribbles, and even pieces of string!
There is a small learning curve for using the Wizard. There are different "sandwiches" for different purposes. But that is part of what makes the Wizard so wonderful! The versatility and the different sandwiches make it possible to do more with this machine than with any other on the market. Flattening bottle caps, flower pounding, rolling out polymer clay, and duplicating charms are all things that can be done with the Wizard, just as simply as cutting a die!
The Spellbinders dies are another selling point for this machine. The dies are very intricate and each one allows embossing as well as cutting. I find myself looking at competitors' "flat" dies with far less interest than I once did! I especially love the company's "geometrics" dies which are concentric shapes that can be combined to make all sorts of windows and frames.
I love this machine!

There is a slight learning curve...but worth it.

This system is a 10 once you learn the basics. Another system out there has "sandwiches" also. The Wizard is so versatile and whatever project you're doing will have beautiful results. The cutting is perfect and embossing is done in one pass. I never had a light box, but this seems easier.
I have the QK system also and wouldn't be without either.

I'm all about space in my crop room - it's important to me to be able to cut anything I want - but when space is an issue, this is not the machine to go with. It sounds like all of these people are marketing folks or something - honestly, who has nothing but positive things to say about a product?
Anyway - I'm also not a huge fan of having to put so much work into getting just one piece of paper cut out - and it's not easy to do several cuts of the same thing in a row either.
Still looking for the perfect machine!

I tried the Wizard at the Iowa Extravaganza. This machine is not your ordinary die cutting machine. It can smash a bottle cap, press flowers, emboss on velvet, set a leather snap, and the list goes on! It is a must have tool in every scrapbooker's room/bag!

I wouldn't own any other machine simply because of its versatility. Once past the initial learning curve (which was minimal in my opinion), I now make and run sandwiches through the machine with little to no thought or effort. I find this machine extremely easy to use (especially while dealing with arthritis and carpal tunnel). I love all the different things you can do with it (especially the texturizing capability). I can't imagine art without it now!

Still waiting on one from over a year ago
|
|
The inventor/previous owner of the Wizard was supposed to send me this in October 2004. I have never received it. The company has been sold to Spellbinders - I contacted them twice this year and am still waiting for the Wizard. I can't say good things about something that I don't have in my hands and have been waiting 13 months for.
