Pros: Great for alphabets!!
Cons:

The sidekick is so easy to use. I also purchased the adapters and have no problems using quickutz dies with it.

Pros: Small and Cute
Cons: Paper size requirements, cheap & plastic

There are definitely some advantages to this thing when looking at size and weight... and even compatibility, but just the added chore of cutting the paper down and sandwiching cutting pieces is enough for me to give it a thumbs down. It's still kinda cute - but I've heard it breaks really easily since it's all plastic parts. Plus it's not very portable because you have to suction it to a table top to have any real stability.

Pros: portability, price
Cons:

I love my Sidekick! It's really portable and suctioning it to the table isn't a problem. I needed a product that didn't require a lot of force as I have a back problem and found that the Sizzix machine and the QuicKutz required me to stand and push (even with the Squeeze). This little machine is effortless. I also like that I use just a little bitty piece of paper to cut my letters since I place the paper right over top of the letter on the die which conveniently faces up! I bought the Adapters and use the QuicKutz letter and Goosebumps dies. Hands down a great deal! Worth every penny.

Pros: A good entry level die cutter
Cons: Trimming paper to fit

This is a great machine as an introduction to die cuttings at an affordable price. One of the most pleasing features is that you can use it with QuicKutz Dies too. Ellison Design have also started releasing 'Thin Cut' dies which are compatible and can be bought individually making them even more affordable. Unfortunately you do have to trim your paper to fit through the slot which isn't a major hardship especially if you have a guillotene or paper trimmer. Just an extra task to carry out - I really am a lazy scrapper !

Pros: Portable
Cons: Size - Having to cut/tear paper to fit.

If you are thinking of purchasing this tool think about the following: You only have so much room to work with and you have to get paper to fit inside it, so you are having to cut your paper all the time. You cannot use the Original Sizzix Die cuts or the Ellison Thick Cuts. If you are wanting something similar but a lot bigger try the Ellision Big Shot.

Pros: compact, light, good price on bundles
Cons:

I like it. It's easy to use and if you buy it in a set that includes the machine and two aplha sets, it's a very good price. I sometimes get bored with all the cutting of paper to fit the dies and the constant turning of the little handle, but it's ok. Now that I have quickutz also, I'm not sure if i would have bought this one as well...

Pros: Small, Portable, Can Use with other Die Brands, and New Dies Come out all the time
Cons: Too much hassle to cut small pieces & only cuts really small shapes.
