The Book of Me is a guide to help you the scrapper define what has significantly contributed to your life, and what you value most about your experiences. It is a roadmap to creating a book dedicated to your history, your passions, and your dreams. It does this with the examples of roles. On any given day, you act as a mother, wife, sister, daughter, co-worker, dreamer, scrapbooker...Just think of the skills, values, people, experiences, and memories each role has contributed to your life! Each of these roles help form the richly complex whole person you are! This life of yours is worth celebrating! The Book of Me showcases these roles and life experiences by giving them their own sections in a scrapbook.
What's so special about The Book of Me?
It's an interactive guide, leading you with hundreds of Memory Prompts that engage your memories and dreams.
The Book of Me provides a structured framework for creating an entire scrapbook about yourself. It also provides examples of what Angie included in her own Book of Me scrapbook.

Innovative ideas allow you to envision the kind of person you'd like to become. Create layouts on what your ideal self would look like, think about, and how she would act.

the basics are there, but it's not as helpful as I'd hoped. I was better off making a list of things I wanted to capture in my book and just working from that.

I love this book! I thought the journalling prompts, the websites, the quotes were all great. Plus, there are some really cool layouts from great designers.
While I am not ready to do my own Book of Me yet, it has influenced how I journal and incoprorating more of myself in my scrapbooks.
I think it is interesting to note that CK and lots of other popular websites and companies are promoting "All about Me" classes and products. This book came out a year or so back... I really think this book has set a trend.

I really enjoy this book. It is very well written and provides lots of ideas for scrapping yourself. It has great ideas on what to scrap and wonderful ideas on how to scrap your stories. I especially like the ideas for sensative journalling like how to have hidden journalling still have a great page. The book encourages you to think about yourself and provides very creative ideas on how to scrap yourself.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! It forever changed the way I journal in my scrapbooks. This is a book that you will want to sit down and read. Keep it near your scrapbook table because you will want to refer to it often. The journaling inspiration you and your family gain from this book is priceless. Enjoy!!

Pros:

a great resource for those wishing to start a BOM
|
|
Cons:
|
|
|
At first I struggled with some aspects of this book, some of the chapters I felt did not apply toward me and my lifestyle. However, as I worked through the book I began to realize those were the chapters specifically that were areas in which I needed to concentrate in my BOM. They have since become my favorite layouts!
I loved the way the book was laid out, its format was simple, the prompts were generic enough to lead me into my own areas of thought rather than dictating where I should go.
I highly recommend it for anyone wishing to begin their own Book of Me!
Her new book, Growing Up Me, is also perfect for young people wishing to do their own books as well!!

I found the journaling prompts in this book to be very helpful when I started my book of me. There were a lot of angles that I hadn't even thought of. I found the book to be very well organized with several good examples.

Reminds us that their own stories are important to

|
Cons:

This book is a top notch tool for layout ideas for yourself and your entire family. It reminds the scrapbooker why her (or his) stories are just as important as her (his) family members, and it lists a number of prompts for getting those stories down. Also, excellent ideas for layouts without photos, and a great resource for internet links.

What can I say? I love this book! I am an idea book junkie -- a new one hits the market and I am out buying it or borrowing from a friend. The Book of Me quickly became one of my favorites. There is such a wealth of information in it -- and because of the ideas contained in this book I have began scrapbooking for myself -- something I never even considered before.
I highly recommend the Book of Me for all scrappers -- this is a must have item.
