a little top heavy/tends to topple when not in use

I adore this new Tool from Quickutz. I had all but stopped using the old tool because it was just too much work. With the larger tool comes a quick and easy title or subtitle for cards and layouts. My only complaint is that it has fallen over like 3 times because the base is not wide enough to keep it steady.

Easy!

No compatibility - a little ugly

So this thing looks better than the last one - but it's still not there yet. I will say it's definitely easier to use than all the others - no cutting paper down, no sandwiching.
I used one in a LSS and thought it was pretty cool. It's the only one I don't have to have a table for - I can even take it to my husbands football games! Not to mention I even got a cute alphabet with it - if you add that pricing this thing comes in at under $50!

tips over very easily

I do think this tool is easier to use, but it does tend to tip over quite a bit and it gets annoying. Another dislike is the "free" letters it came with. They are way too small for my taste and I find that this selling feature was not worth the package deal.

That mine was a Golden Squeeze
|

Easier than the old handtool, but it's larger being more tipsy. Not a big deal though.
Since it uses all my older QK dies, I'm happy that there were no obsolete dies. In fact, some of my older ones that I had to manipulate to cut well in the old handtool, cut fine with the Squeeze.
Even though I have way too many shape dies, I mostly use and love the alphabets. Quickutz has done these very well.
My only complaint is that I didn't get a Golden Squeeze.

Ideal for the lazy scrapper !
|
|
Cons:

Limited on the range of dies you can use with hand
|

This is a fantastic quick die cutter to use and the new design makes it much easier on the wrist.
I love the fact that you can cut direct from a sheet of paper or card without having to trim it first. You can easily store the rest of the sheet for next time without ending up with hundreds of little pieces. I think you actually save money this way too.
I do have other die cutting systems that I can use the QuicKutz dies on but I have to admit I automatically reach for my Squeeze if I want to cut a QuicKutz Die and as I tend to prefer their range of dies I use my Squeeze more than any other system!

sooo easy, beautiful dies and alphas
|
|
Cons:

the dies are ex-pen-sive!!!

I'm in love!!!!
I waited a lot to buy it and a presentation on QVC convinced me. I got the squeeze with stiletto and I adore it. It's super light, very portable, sooo easy to use. no cutting and cutting paper like with the sizzlits and the variety of shapes and alpahas is amazing...
BUT, the dies are soooo expensive!! Quickuts will have to find a way to make them a little more affordable. An aplha set like stiletto or olivia that has only unicase letters ( no numbers or anything) and consists of 8 tiny thin dies is close to $70!!! too much, but no matter I LOVe it and will keep on saving to get more dies. Get one!

Cons:

Only 1 type of die compatible

I started die cutting in a Zipemate in 2005. At some point last year I decided to go for a more portable die cutting tool to take to crops. I doubted between the Sizzix Sidekick and the QK Squeeze. In the end I decided for the Sidekick because I usually 'fought' with the Squeeze at crops. I got my sidekick, used it lots, and a few weeks later I got a good deal on the Squeeze with Stiletto, so I decided to buy it. Since then I haven't touched my sidekick and have sold it to a friend who has a Sizzlits alpha as well as QK dies. I used my Squeeze almost exclusively. Later I found out that the second generation Squeezes (the ones that come with Metro or Moxie as opposed to Stiletto and Olivia), have improved slightly, they don't tip over as quickly and cut just a little lighter (actually tried this side by side). So another good deal came along and I got a pink 'new' Squeeze. That one is so easy to use I just have it laying around on a chair or the floor and pick it up when I have to use it, and use it with two hands without putting it on the table.
What I find most appealing is the speed of cutting, especially when just cutting a single shape every now and then while scrapping. With the Sidekick or other similar tools, you have to cut your paper to size, and 'put everything together' (sandwiching your cutting mat(s), die and paper). With the Squeeze you just pop your die in (the cutting head is magnetic to keep your die in place), slide your paper in (no matter what size), and push, and you've got your die cut.
I also have the Revolution which I use for the bigger dies as well as cutting titles with the Squeeze dies since you can use 4 dies at once. But I still use my Squeeze loads and wouldn't want to be without.
