Bio:
I received my art degree from Framingham State College in 1997, and I adore the self-expression of the day to day woman in scrapbooks. You don't have to go to college to become an artist.
Creativity resides on the right side of the brain and if you can tap into it, you will lived a blessed life.
There is no end of the need of women to express themselves creatively in their work and web sites like this one and the channel DIY is proof that there are many of us who NEED to create.
A typical artist maintains that an artist needs to express emotion. What better place to express emotion than in a scrapbook of photographs that will become a family heirloom.
Many of us won't become millionaires with overnight discoveries of our talents, but we will be satisfied that the urge to create has been fulfilled and appreciated by the ones we love.
I love heritage crafts -- quilting, primitive painting, sewing, knitting, quilling and anything available to learn. I must a admit I've done it all.
Now I find that I can incorporate all I've learned into altered books. I can sew on paper, quilt with paper, and add everything I can find into niches of a book.
There is no end of discovery, there is no end of imagination, there is no end of pleasure.
