Description:For COW #45 - but not deliberately! I was feeling a smidge annoyed with myself - I have so many challenges to catch up on, but I made this layout that didn't fit any of the challenges. Then I saw COW #45 - Anything Goes! Perfect! Thanks, Rosey!
Journalling reads: Everything, in our house, including the heat and hot water, runs on electricity. By the end of a very cold Sunday (church was cancelled, so no relief there), we were ready to find a new way to deal with the power outage. We were lucky to find a hotel with availability, and the really sweet desk clerk advised us to book additional nights, as the rooms were quickly selling out. Unfortunately, we didn’t book enough, and still spent one night back in our cold house after the Phillipsburg marching band competition before the power finally returned. Still, we spent three nights in a warm room with a shower, internet, cable, and pizza delivery. We were pretty bored on Halloween, so we carved fake pumpkins in our hotel room and displayed them in our 4th floor window. The kids got used to wandering down for hot chocolate and cookies in the lobby. We perfected the various complicated steps in getting everyone to work and school and Aunt Cyndy’s house as the area businesses and schools slowly reopened. It wasn’t exactly the Plaza, but we still felt a bit Eloise!
