Description:For Scrapwhispers "Cinderella" ISD challenge. Challenge was to interpret the theme of old/new. This layout does that in a couple of ways. I used many old products from my stash, but also new letters and tags I had just bought (the "won't miss you" and "yes thanks" embellishments). The theme is also old and new, as the photos are of my new school after we finally got a much needed school upgrade.
Journalling reads:I have taught middle schoolers for eleven years in a triangle-shaped classroom with no windows and no doors. The walls were made of hanging panel boards. You could hear everything going on in classrooms on both sides. The carpet was older than I am, and the color of vomit. The heaters rarely worked. Don’t even get me started on my drama club “stage”. The office was literally in the basement. When we heard we were getting a new school, we were so very excited. When that school was finally done, and we could move in for the last month of this school year, it was like winning the lottery. I have windows, and cupboards, and shiny tile floors, counter space and brand new desks. I have a stage, with curtains. In short, I have a real school!
