After a day full of rides and adventure, we headed back to the hotel room for a quick nap. By the time we got back, the seats above the train station for the evening parade and fireworks were already taken. We decided to take spots in town square. Thus began a
Silly soggy stakeout.
Although we were too late for the train station, we were way too early to stake out a street spot, so we got more than our share of funny looks, especially when the skies opened up for a quick late afternoon shower! Still, it turned out to be the perfect spot, because we were right up front when Mickey passed by at the start of the parade, and he recognized us from our train ride that morning! He started pointing and waving and jumping up and down as soon as he saw us and didn’t stop until his float turned the corner.
