I don’t think that you even realized what was going on when you woke up at 7:00 a.m. on Christmas morning. I had to remind you that your presents under the tree. You had not idea that Santa had come!
The first toy that your eyes surfaced upon was the Care Bear Castle that Santa had set up for you. You didn’t even want to open any other gifts but wanted to play with it right away. We had to coax you to unwrap your other presents. Once you started ripping the paper off, there was no stopping you. You opened all of them in no time. What a difference from the snails pace of last year! Your enthusiasm brought the spirit of Christmas back into my heart.
