Description: To make the title "pebbles," I used polymer clay and letter stamps. I formed small balls with the clay, then slightly flattened them. Then I used my stamps to press a letter in each ball. I baked the clay according to package instructions. I used acrylic craft paint and painted each pebble dark gray. After the first coat of paint dried, I applied a lighter gray to the pebbles being careful not to paint inside the letters. Then I used black and white paint to speckle the pebbles. I used glue dots to adhere the fibers to the pebbles and to adhere the pebbles to the cardstock.
The twigs on the layout are grapevine twigs. I bunched them up, tied them with fibers, and adhered them to the paper with glue dots.
I used handmade paper for the title strip. I stamped "The Lessons In" onto the paper. The pebbles underneath spell "NATURE," so the entire title reads, "The Lessons In Nature."
I tore much of the paper in this layout, like on the title and some photo mats, and when I did, I used gray ink to shade the torn edges. The different tags each have a quote about nature printed on them. To do this, I printed the quotes onto 8 1/2 by 11 patterned paper and THEN cut tags around the quotes to achieve a perfect fit.
