This next part of our trip was wonderful, yet bittersweet. We had a wonderful time. It was amazingly magical. We were treated like royalty.
It never should have happened.
You see, back in 2006, we were chosen Magic Kingdom Family of the Day. And even though we know the early bird gets that particular worm, I hustled my family out of bed super early on our last Magic Kingdom day. And when we WERE chosen, again, Kairi especially thought we should say "No, we've already done it, pick someone else." And she was right, really, which is why we feel guilty. But by the time they were ready to escort us back through the Magic Kingdom to start the wonderful, magical, family of the day process, there were still absolutely NO other families in sight. So we didn't say anything. Barbara, the amazing and wonderful CM, kept telling us about the surprises in store - we couldn't bear to tell her we knew about some of them. And the further into the morning we got, the less we could bear to disappoint everyone. All the CMs were so happy for us, and we were so happy to be there - we didn't want to spoil that by admitting it was our second grab at the brass ring. But we should have. And if we ever get picked again, we are going to say no. But there were so many wonderful things that were different that we WERE surprised, and enchanted, all over again. Still, I wish we hadn’t stolen another family’s chance.
