Description: This peacock ornament belonged to my
parents and dates back to the year they
were married, 1949. When my mother
died in 2001, I inherited her box of Christmas ornaments. This, and many others from 60 years ago, were wrapped carefully in tissues and then nestled in a bed of newspaper. Every Christmas I look forward to unwrapping these ornaments and placing them on our tree. Each one reminds me of my childhood and my mother who loved to make the holiday so special for the entire family.
