Description: Given to my son by a cancer survivor and friend:
'Dear Survivor, As a survivor, you represent "HOPE" for someone newly diagnosed with cancer. There is an old saying that a stone cast upon water will send ripples out further and further into the water. As a survivor, we want you to use this stone to send out HOPE to others on their cancer journey. Please keep this stone until you know someone who has just received a diagnosis of cancer. Pass this stone on to them as a symbol of HOPE and invite them to walk with you next year in the Relay For Life Survivor Lap. You will be casting a ripple upon the water that will reach out and let someone know they are not alone and we care about them.'
