Description: This was a lo for the heritage album I did of my dad when he was in the army in the mid 1950s. My dad was a gunsmith before he was drafted. During his military career he was charge of the armory and shooting range at Ft. Belvoir, VA where he was stationed. The air mail envelope was from a letter between him and my grandmother. Look at the "simple" addresses and postage!! The word "Army" was made using tags with each letter stenciled w/ green and black paint. I used a black stamp pad to distress the edges of each tag. I wrinkled up the camo paper to give it a "used" appearance. The clippings were from the local newspaper which my grandmother always cut out for her keeping.
