Description: As usual, I knew what I wanted for this page and couldn't find it. I drew the swirls free-hand on chipboard and cut them out with a craft knife. Every time I take on a project like that, I always swear I'm going to find an easier way the next time. I never do. The journaling is hidden below the pictures and pulls down to read. I wanted to start touring as soon as I got to Japan but there was just so much to see and we barely knew our way around. Our friend Elizabeth took us to Kamakura and showed us the places to shop and the large shrine in the city. Lacquerware from Kamakura is very famous and there were hundreds of lacquer hashi (chopsticks) to pick from.
