Little did I know when I met my husband that life would be about TV screen size! When we first lived together, we were so proud to have purchased our first TV together and wow..a 20 inch! That was something! Over the past 13 years many things have changed and that includes our TV’s. We have moved up on from the 20 inch that we started with. Suprisingly it is still going, used in our bedroom, although we grumble about the smallness of the screen now! We have now upsized..first a 27 inch then to the TV we thought that there would be no reason to ever go bigger..a 36 inch! It seemed HUGE to us and in our family room was a perfect fit. Then came along the basement refinishing. We started it last July and immediately Scott started planning the next TV. I was worried as I knew that could only mean one thing..BIGGER! YIKES! My only request..a table top style TV. For over 7 months Scott looked at and studied TVs with the reverence of a scholar! He would come home to tell me the ins and outs of different TV’s only to profess the cost..which I would immediately run for the bathroom! Finally the day came when the basement was declared to be done. I knew what that meant, no not that I got to use my basement as I had dreamed about for years, but the dreaded upsizing of the TV. Scott told me that he had found the perfect TV and that it was on sale. So we headed off to the store for a fun shopping spree. (not really, but it’s a story!) He went off to find the salesman he liked and the kids and I headed off to BIG SCREEN TVLAND! While walking around them, one particular monster TV caught my eye. Incredible color, clarity, table-top style, flat screen, reduced back depth and the brand I loved. I waited patiently for Scott so I could show him the one I liked if we must go bigger..only to find that the TV I loved was the very same one he came to buy. It was fate! We signed the liftetime mortgage for it and the surround sound and went home to anticipate delivery. When it arrived we were like kids in a candy store that didn’t eat sugar..clueless on how to wire everything up! We figured it out though..sat back to watch our first movie and the now famous words slipped from my mouth, “honey you know we could have gotten the next bigger screen size TV!” YIKES!!
