Description: Journaling reads:
Welcome, Baby Girl!
The day has finally come - one which some days we couldn't seem to
wait for, and others dreading ever coming - you're here!
Like all new parents, Daddy & I weren't sure we were prepared - for
birth or parenting. We didn't manage to take childbirth classes due the
fact that we weren't settled enough to arrange for classes in Syracuse or
in Watertown. Will we be good parents? Can I deal with the pain of labor
and delivery? What can Daddy do to help me? Will this pregnancy be ok? (I'd
miscarried twice just before getting pregnant with you.) All questions that
ran through our minds ten thousand times (if not more) over the nine months
that we've waited for you.
It took almost four months to decide on your name, and another month
to decide on the spelling. Your first name is taken from Daddy - a female
version of Michael that we changed the spelling of. Your middle name was
chosen by Aunt Nora because she couldn't use it since she only had one
girl, however Daddy decided to change the normal 'z' to an 's'.
We hope we are good parents, but remember that you won't always agree
with our decisions. Many of those decisions won't make sense until you
have children of your own!
Love,
Mommy & Daddy
