Description: As with everything in life, we all have our ups and downs. My last weight loss entry was over a year ago. I’ve been a very naughty girl! Of the 35 lbs I lost last year, I gained 15 back. Which I guess could be worse. After 4 moves in one year, it wasn’t the best year for weight loss.
Here I am now….recommitting once again (as I’ve done many times over). I’m determined to achieve my goal once again. As of the mid October I weighed in at 159. This photo here, totally unplanned btw (me in my workout clothes), that is me at 150, the week before Thanksgiving. 9 lbs lost. It just goes to show with a little determination and exercise it’s not that hard to get back on track.
This time around I decided I needed to try a different approach. Weight Watchers has done wonders for me in the past in achieving my 135 goal once before. Unfortunately as my body has changed with children and age, I need something else. Sugars and bad carbs are my downfall. South Beach seemed like an interesting choice. I won’t lie; the first 2 weeks were absolutely terrible! Once I got the hang of things, it’s not so bad.
My size 10 jeans are now baggy and last week I purchased a pair of size 8’s. Thanksgiving was a bit of a set back. I ate what I wanted for 4 days, gained 4 lbs (mostly water weight). The Monday after T-Day I started back with my own modified phase 1 and 5 days later I’ve already lost 3 of those 4 lbs.
My hopes are by typing this now I will motivate myself to make it through the rest of the holiday season. I’m sure I will slip up, but it’s a matter of staying focused and not giving up.
The page next to this….is going to be my 10 lbs lost page!!! Say goodbye to the 150’s and hello to the 140’s!
Nice job on the layout - and I enjoyed reading your journaling. Trying to loose weight myself and the holidays make it hard so I can relate. Good job, keep it up!!!
