Taylor has always put his entire heart and soul into baseball and it was no different August 14th when he was called on to pitch for his team in what would be his final game of the season. As he eyed down batter after batter, I was once again struck by his ability to focus on his game with such purpose; this boy plays to win! Despite his efforts to bring the boys to victory, his team played and lost the final 3 games, eliminating them from the tournament. After being honored as State MVP and having made the All-Tournament Nationals Team, it was quite a crushing finish to an otherwise successful season for him.
As we left the field that day, I was somewhat surprised at the emotions I felt facing the close of the season. I thought I would welcome an end to the arduous task of meeting the demands of his baseball schedule, spending hours on the road going back and forth to practice and arranging our lives around weekend tournaments. But instead, I found myself already longing for next season and all the trials that come with it. Win or lose.
It really is a winner Libby. wow I would die to have such great shots of my DS playing ball. Very creative page too with the titling and jounaling.

Loved it in the mag- love seeing it here! Congrats- it's awesome! I was psyched when I saw it in the mag-- it was across from another "cyber buddy" of mine- Kate Teague. She was on another board I used to belong to. It was cool to see you guys on facing pages.

Libby, I love this LO!! It's awesome. I love how you used the brown ink on the cardstock (an idea I'm planning on lifting) to create the look of the dirt from the ballfield. TFS, -Jen
