Description:Just finished my challenge for this weeks Scrap Whispers. I am going to try and complete all the weekly ones. Not sure I can do it but I will see how it goes!! Thanks for looking!!
The Journaling States:
Nancy Drew and I go way back. She was the first series of books I fell in love with as a child and I couldn’t read enough of her. I wasn’t lucky enough to own the series but my friend had them all and I would borrow from the “Margie Library” anytime I needed a new Nancy Drew to read.
However, Nancy got me into a lot of trouble at school. You see, I would read these mystery books when I was supposed to be doing my work. One day in fourth grade, instead of doing my spelling, I was reading a really juicy Nancy Drew mystery. My teacher apparently was trying to get my attention, but to no avail. She had the whole class get up, walk quietly out of the room, and then she shut the lights off and shut the door. I didn’t even realize it until a few minutes later!! I looked up and the whole class was peeking through the door laughing!! My mother was SO MAD!!! I would love to say this taught me a valuable lesson but I would be lying. I am still this way with books. And Nancy will always have a very special spot in my heart.
This is great. I loved Nancy Drew too and have all of my old books, still in perfect condition. I wanted to pass them on to my girls but they aren't interested :( I might have to scraplift this one.
