Description:I used the new Scenic Route paper on this. LOVE it!!! These photos were taken in 2005 on the day I signed Char up for kindergarten. The journaling is my reflection on how I felt that day. (I journal when I take my photos.)
The Journaling States:
I registered you for Kindergarten today. How can it be that you will be going on a bus next year? Where has the time gone? I no longer will have control over your world. You will be with others that might tease you and I will not be there to protect you and guide you. I will have to trust that I have given you the tools to stick up for yourself, to have confidence in your abilities and to treat others as you would want to be treated. Hopefully I have been a good enough mother to have instilled these values in you.
The pictures are so cute, Nora! And your journaling is amazing. I still can remember those feelings very well and after so many years I still have a problem with letting go :-) Wonderful work!
Love the pps and all the pretty flowers - the photos are just adorable!!!! Fantastic journaling, too - I remember how hard that was for me - when my oldest son started kindergarten - I stood in the hall and cried! LOL! It's so hard putting them out their on their own. Now, mine are gettiing to the stage of moving out from home - hope I handle that better!
awwe, this is such a sweet LO, I'm sure it's hard to let kids grow up...I even hate letting my students grow up and I teach Emotional and Behavioral Support kids, lol so they aren't always the sweetest.
Great idea to journal as you take the photos. I keep diaries of my boys and that is what saves me when I come scrap a page. Your idea is great too. What a sweet little girl and I love the way the photos fit together on the two pages. I love the pink and white look too with the touch of flowers.
