Description:These photos were not the best because of the competing colors so I de-saturated two of the pictures and left one in color. I wanted to make sure that I got the journaling for this down before I forgot too. Watching Charlotte play really brought back memories of my own childhood.
I apologize for the scanning on this. I cannot seem to make reds match up no matter how many times I try! Thanks for looking!

I remember building forts as a child. Aunt Jen and I would use blankets on our bunk bed-one tucked into the top mattress, on each side of the top bunk. We usually pretended it was a houseboat and could spend hours playing this.
Times sure have change. Now they have fort kits! You received your fort kit from Uncle Chuck as a Birthday/Christmas present. I have to say that it was your father’s idea. I was a little leery since I wasn’t sure where we would set it up. You took care of that, though. You set your fort up anywhere you can and build them all by yourself! Your friends come over and you spend hours in it-dragging toys from all over the to “accessorize” your abode. So the little aggravation it is to have you set up your fort in the middle of the living room is worth it to me because I am able to watch you use your imagination and remember some rare, happy moments from my own childhood.
