Description:I apologize for the scan. For some reason my scanner would not pick up the reds correctly on my second page.
Again, this SEI Twitterpated line was perfect for this Valentine layout of Charlotte. Thanks for looking!

A Lesson on Giving
I decided this year that we were going to make Valentines Day a day of giving. All your life you have received gifts. This year I wanted you to start having an appreciation of what it feels like to give. Not only would you give your class something but I had the idea that you would make the gifts too. This took a bit of planning on my part.
First I ordered kits to make Hershey Kiss mice. I also ordered stickers, pencils, erasers and little red pails to up everything in. You chose each and every item from the catalog so that you also had a hand in planning what was going to be in these treat buckets. When the package came, you were SO EXCITED! You begged me for days to make the mice.
The second part of the plan was for you and Grandma to make chocolates and chocolate lollipops for the goodie buckets. I took you up one Saturday and left you off while I went to visit a friend. You helped Grandma pour the melted chocolate into the molds-and dripped quite a bit on yourself too! So much so that Grandma had to wash your shirt!
On a snowy day, we finally made the mice. You watched me so carefully as I glued each piece of a mouse together. You then would mimic each of my actions on one of your own critters. After we completed all of the mice, we were ready to assemble the bags. You even made one for yourself!
After all the work that went into planning these treats for you class, I totally forgot about the Valentine Cards. I tried to talk you into buying some but you wanted nothing to do with that idea. You are your mother’s daughter! You wanted to make them all yourself! I cut out heart cards for you and you used heart stamps and stickers to decorate them. It made me feel so good that you were this excited about giving these Valentine gifts. And you didn’t really care that you were getting something in return. I think this is one of the many lessons that you actually might learn!
